Dryden School is a specialist school for students aged between 11-18 who have Severe or Profound and Multiple learning difficulties. A number of students may also have communication difficulties, autism or physical and complex medical needs.
We provide our pupils with a specialist personalised curriculum in a caring and therapeutic environment which will prepare them for the best outcomes in their adult life. We pay careful attention to their journey through the Key Stages and then to further destinations to specialist courses in education and potentially the world of work or to carefully planned social care settings.
Everyone involved in our school, Governors, Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Support staff, Parents, Carers and Friends of the school, work together to ensure the pupils receive the highest quality education and care. We want to enrich the lives of our learners and provide them with opportunities to develop their independence and communication, no matter what their starting point is. We also pay great attention to their personal development and strive for them to be members of their local community.
We warmly welcome visits and enjoy showing visitors a school we are very proud of.
