Key Stage 3 and 4 performed ‘Love from the Trenches’ to a packed out audience of over 60 people on Wednesday 16th May. It was a roaring success! The play was a love story which showed a young soldier going off to war and leaving his wife at home. All the boys were dressed as soldiers and all the girls were dressed as housewives and there were lots of war time songs performed and signed by the students including, ‘It’s a long way to Tipperary’ and ‘Pack up your troubles’. The students practiced the songs and the signs for weeks prior to the show and the hard work and dedication was evident on the day! They certainly did Dryden School proud. It was an emotional performance and a great start to our work around WW1 to commemorate 100 years since the end of the War
