On Tuesday 1st December, a group of 8 girls from Dryden visited Walker Activity Dome to take part in a GIRLS only Disability football festival organised by Newcastle United Foundation and Northumberland FA.   Some of our girls had previously worked with coaches from Newcastle United Foundation when they delivered 6 ‘In school Disability Football Sessions’ to Key Stage 4 students at the beginning of the Autumn Term.  The girls from Dryden joined with pupils from two other schools (Percy Hedley and Collingwood) and took part in a range of activities to practice their skills before participating in a round robin competition of mini matches against the girls from the other schools.  Emily enjoyed the competitive element of the day the best, scoring 2 goals in her 3 matches.
